The First Season: Kindergarten through Third Grade--Our responsibility to teach and train
“Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them … ” (Matthew 19:14)
From Kindergarten through about third grade, parents and the team at CCCS teach and share with our children about the love, joy, and power of life in Jesus. These youngest students generally are quite ready to receive, and timely training goes a long way to establishing them firmly in the good, perfect, and pleasing will of God. This is a time when seeds of discipleship are planted deeply in their hearts and those seeds are carefully cultivated. This is prime time to set children on course for life in an intimate and exciting relationship with God. In this first season of ministry, a child’s walk in Christ seldom bears upon whether that child is or is not admitted or enrolled at the school. As parents and the school minister faithfully in word and deed to our younger children, the stage is set for the second season of ministry as it relates to our mission of making disciples.
